The Korean Language Program at the University of Maryland consists of KORA101, KORA102, KORA201, and KORA202. Our language program is a 2-year sequence of skills courses, to include speaking, reading, writing, and culture, with expansion to third-year Korean a future possibility. Before registering, students new to the program need to take the college’s online World Language Placement Assessment (WLP).
The Korean Studies Minor combines Korean Program courses with Korea-related courses offered by departments across campus.
