Project GO Persian Program
UMD’s Project GO Persian Program is no longer offered after Summer 2024.
UMD's Project GO Persian Program offers Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Content levels (Years 1-4). The program is hosted through the UMD Summer Language Institute, where Project GO students live and learn with their fellow students as part of a community committed to intensive language study. Students study Persian for 9-weeks, several hours each day while also participating in a number of cultural activities and workshop to help them develop linguistic as well as cultural fluency. This is a wonderful opportunity for those interested in Persian or the Persian-speaking world (Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan) to kickstart their journey in the language or continue previous study to increase their proficiency in a short time.
