H. Baer receives award for her project, Digital Feminisms: Transnational Activism in German Protest Cultures.

Her 2014-15 project -- Digital Feminisms: Transnational Activism in German Protest Cultures -- combines pedagogical, scholarly, and collaborative work within a digital context. The Comparative Literature award committee found its focus on German feminism as a case study for the “reconfigurations of feminist activism in the context of rapid technological change” to be a perfect fit for this inaugural Vambery award as it focuses on German culture with a particular emphasis on those who are expressing an “opposition to repression.”
