2024 Outstanding German Studies Major Award Recipient: Mareike Debye

Congratulations to Mareike Debye on being awarded one of this year's Outstanding German Studies Majors!

Mareike Debye is a heritage speaker who declared a German studies major in her sophomore year, quickly finding a community within the department after her first couple of classes. She is now a senior, graduating this May with a Bachelor of Science in business management with a double major in German studies, planning to leverage her diverse skill sets in the field of administration within higher education. She was also selected to be this year's SLLC Student Commencement Speaker!
