Congratulations to Evan Peaco and Katherine Mosley, recipients of the The 2016 Anneliese and Alfred Strauch Scholarship for Language Study! The faculty members of Germanic Studies are proud of the accomplishments of these two extraordinary students and wish them good luck in their academic pursuits.

Evan Peaco is a native of Portland, Maine, and a sophomore at the University of Maryland, College Park pursuing a double degree in Aerospace Engineering and Germanic Studies. He intends to study abroad in Germany in the near future. After graduation, Evan will pursue a Master's degree in Engineering - possibly at a German university.

Katherine Mosley is a Russian Language and Literature and Germanic Studies double major studying to be a translator or language teacher. She lived in Germany for four years and went to High School at Wiesbaden American High School. Katie is involved with the Band- the Mighty Sound of Maryland and Pep Band- as a clarinet player and is currently President of the German Club and an appraiser for Destination Imagination.
