Fátima Montero is a Ph.D. candidate in the Second Language Acquisition Program (expected 2022). Her research interests are second language acquisition; task-based language teaching; Spanish as a second language; Spanish in the healthcare context; medical communication for people with limited English proficiency; tasks and health; second language instruction for people with minimal L1 literacy; language assessment for specific purposes (medical).
